The Nasty Woman's Home

The Women’s March on Washington kicked 2017 off to a powerful start. The woman’s voice is undeniably strong right now, and a number of markets are trying to figure out how to speak to her in an authentic way. This home goods report highlights leading brands, items, and graphics that are advocating for female empowerment in one way or another. The first section features female reproductive anatomy, a popular trend in home décor right now, while the second section takes on the political voice of the feminist movement.

Female Anatomy

The female body in all its glory is being celebrated in home goods, and the product approach is not a subtle one. There is a passion for the handmade with many products crafted by female art collectives like Gravel & Gold in San Francisco and Alice Lang in Australia available for purchase at Other Wild, a store and gathering space for women and the artistic community.

Feminist Slogans &  Wall Art

Political products carry the voice of the feminist movement into the living room. Tones range from in your face “Nasty Women Unite” statements on mugs and wall hangings, to modern illustrations of influential feminist leaders. Women's co-working space, The Wing,  features a range of female empowerment product, from pencils to tote bags that sell out immediately. We love the reproduction of “The Future is Female” a slogan from the 70’s, whose empowerment has lasted through the decades.
